As inflation accelerated again in July, to 6.1% in a year, Bruno Le Maire reiterated his call on companies on Friday to raise wages to preserve the purchasing power of the French:
Macron bonus and savings for employees
Those who are reluctant to do so for fear of finding themselves in trouble in a few months can use “the Macron bonus that has been increased to 6,000 euros” and is “totally exempt from taxes”, said Bruno Le Maire, adding that this device is “a retribution very appreciable addition to all employees in these difficult times”.
