On August 1, La Française des Jeux launched a new ephemeral scratch-off ticket for the holidays, called the “Holiday Route”. The ticket is available for purchase at all FDJ outlets, in the app and on the site.
Sold for three euros, you can earn up to 30,000 euros. It offers “the best frequency of winning games at 3 euros, with a chance in 3.26 of winning a prize”, specifies the FDJ in its press release.
Specifically, it is a “three in one” ticket. Three mini-games offer the chance to win the jackpot. In the “have you thought of everything?” look for identical symbols, in the “no road trip without a car” the player must find the same two amounts to win it and finally the “are you in the right way?” involves discovering a destination identical to the winning destination.
Very lucrative scratch games
FDJ is heavily based on scratch games. Contrary to a phenomenon seen across the Channel, in France, inflation and fears around purchasing power have not pushed the French to give up scratch card games to save a few euros.
This segment even grew 15% in June compared to the previous year, according to the group’s results for the first half of the year. Participations totaled close to 4,930 million euros, compared to 4,230 million in the first half of 2021. It should be noted that during this period, around 10% of the points of sale remained closed due to the health crisis.
Given this success, the group bets on ephemeral scratch games. Before the “Holiday Route”, the Française des jeux had introduced a new note in June called “As of hearts”. And at the beginning of the year, the group had updated “Dédé”, its already famous pig, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
