“The Ice Cream Project”, a pop-up shop in central London, offers ice cream with unusual flavors throughout the summer, such as ketchup, mayonnaise or beans in tomato sauce.

What if you could try… an ice cream with mayonnaise? On the other side of the Canal, a temporary store offers ice creams with particular flavors, reports Reuters. Ketchup, mayonnaise, beans in tomato sauce, oatmeal, black tea or even cornflakes… To taste them, go to London: fashion designer Anya Hindmarch is at the origin of the “Ice Cream Project”, which opened its doors at the beginning of July in the Belgravia district, in the center of the British capital.

Heinz, Quaker, Kellogg’s

These ice creams, which can also be consumed on the spot, have been developed in collaboration with the main brands that British consumers usually find in their cupboards or fridges, such as Heinz, Quaker or Kellogg’s. And they’ve found their fans: the store has already sold six weeks’ worth of goods in just a few days, as the UK is experiencing one of its hottest summers yet. It will be open until the end of the month.

In France, even if ketchup ice cream isn’t yet available, ice cream sales have soared this summer, fueled by successive heat waves. Artisan sorbet, homemade, full of fruit… find our article here to get your vacation right.
