In June, the economy grew by 1.1% compared to May and rebounded by 6.4% compared to last year

In June 2022, the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator (EMAE) was registered. an increase of 6.4% in the interannual comparison, e 1.1% compared to May in the seasonally adjusted measurement, as reported this afternoon by INDEC.

The 6.4% jump from the previous month is based on the fact that in June 2021 the pandemic had worsened and many activities, such as tourism, have been paralyzed.

In relation to the same month of 2021, 14 of the sectors of activity that make up the EMAE recorded increases in Juneamong which hotels and restaurants stand out (39.2%), exploitation of mines and quarries (14.2%) and transport and communications (10.8%).

The sector that most influenced the recovery of the EMAE was Commerce, a voice up 8.4%, followed by Manufacturing (6.2%) and Transport and communications (10.8%). between the three sectors contribution of 3 percentage points year-over-year increase in the total index.

For its part, the agricultural, livestock, hunting and forestry sector was the only one to record a decline in June in the year-on-year comparison:production contracted by 4.9% and subtracted 0.5 percentage points from the year-to-year change in the EMAE.
