The decree published this Tuesday reminds us that the hiring ban provided for by decree no. 426/22 provides:

– Permanent contracts, fixed-term, part-time and temporary work;

– Individual hiring under the leasing regime;

-The contract of companies dedicated to the provision of any services;

It is also clarified that “the hiring of personnel for seasonal circumstances or for production needs duly accredited, according to the particularities of each company or company, will not be affected by this prohibition”.

The freezing of vacancies is not total, moreover, decree 426/2022 provides for various exceptions, such as the Science, Technology and Innovation, Health system, disability quotas, gender diversity, among others. Nor does it eliminate the selection processes through competitions already in place.

Companies in deficit

The Minister of Economy, Serge Massa, framed these decrees in what he called a “roadmap” where the priority “It is the fiscal order of state expenditures“.
