Founded in 2008 on the other side of the Atlantic, the company established itself three years ago in the Paris region before expanding its area of influence to other French regions. Since 2021, Taskrabbit has been present throughout France and last year more than 100,000 tasks were offered.

The flexibility of being a freelancer

By registering with Taskrabbit, every self-employed worker benefits from many advantages: after having indicated the home services that he can perform, the self-employed worker will be able to choose his own prices. “Taskers get 100% of the amount they set and 100% of tips!” says Alex Séron, Director of French Associations.

Self-entrepreneurs can also manage their working hours themselves according to their schedule, and determine their area of intervention according to their travel capabilities. “This work system has many advantages for freelancers who can turn it into a full-time job or additional income, depending on their needs. On average, adding all the categories, a Taskeur earns 22 euros per hour, that is, twice the minimum wage calendar in France”.

Develop partnerships around home services

Thanks to the partnerships forged by the platform, Taskers now benefits from a vast network of people. Acquired by the INGKA group, IKEA’s parent company in 2017, the company has access to all of the Swedish giant’s customers who want assistance in assembling their furniture.

The recent opening of a new IKEA store near Nice has increased the booking rate by 87% in PACA, making it the second most important region for Taskrabbit in France, after Île-de-France

Although the health crisis has significantly increased the need for home services among many French, the specialized company Taskrabbit wishes to develop alliances with new distributors in the coming months, to meet this growing demand. The company currently has more than 22,000 Taskers registered on its platform in France.
