In a press release, the laboratory explains that the Covid-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech, Comirnaty infringes patents filed by Moderna between 2010 and 2016 on Moderna’s mRNA.

Ensuring continued access to vaccines

Recognizing the need to ensure continued access to these life-saving vaccines, Moderna says it is not seeking Comirnaty’s withdrawal from the market. Nor does the laboratory ask for a precautionary measure to prevent its future sale, nor for damages.
