The Governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordet, was in Istanbul, Turkey, to participate in the 2022 edition of the Apimondia fair, the largest in the world of beekeeping. The provincial president also met with Turkish diplomats and businessmen export of the pharmaceutical industry and other regional economies.

In addition to Entre Ríos, the trip, financed and technically assisted by the Federal Investment Council (CFI), saw the participation of representatives from seven other provinces.

Bordet participated in the inauguration of the institutional stand of Argentina together with the president of Apimondia, Jeff Pettis, and the Argentine consul in Istanbul, Diego Álvarez Rivera. This was the scene of the subsequent business rounds in which the president and entrepreneurs of Entre Ríos were involved.

Entre Ríos is the second honey producer and the second exporting province “, remarked Bordet, and highlighted the possibility offered by the fair to” support the business opportunity, be updated in terms of scientific and technological advances that the business door. “It represents an opportunity. But the management in Apimondia is not limited only to the export of primary production. Bordet’s goal is to diversify the destinations of Entre Ríos products, especially those with added value.

The significance of the meeting was twofold, Bordet explained. On the one hand, “to start a cooperation relationship that allows us to reach Turkey, so that it is a destination for our exports”, and on the other hand, to interest Turkish companies to “invest in the various value chains and sectors of Entre Ríos to promote industrialization and value addition.
