The central bank confirmed on Thursday the restriction on dollar purchases in the official market for those who receive subsidies to pay their utility bills such as electricity, gas or water and sewage.

“Users who benefit from the subsidy in the public service tariffs will not be able, while supporting this benefit, to make purchases of foreign currency, due to a provision of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA)”, confirmed the institution in a statement .
