With these figures, the film can not only exceed 150,000 admissions, but also approach 200,000. We will have to see the final data from yesterday, Saturday.

Why isn’t it everywhere?

One of the reasons behind the long lines in small theaters is that the big chains (Hoyts, Cinemark, Showcase and Cinépolis) don’t show the film because they disagree that Argentina, 1985 uploads in three weeks to the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform.

The 235 theaters showing the film come from the so-called independent circuit.

The film that will represent our country in front of the Hollywood Academy, in the best international film category, can be seen for free at the INCAA Space which works in the Gregorio de Laferrere Theater of the Municipality of Morón, where it will be possible to see Argentina, 1985 free, with free admission.

It will not be a single function, but will be eight screenings, on different days, in the month of October that has just begun. So don’t worry if you don’t get your tickets for the first performance, which is next Thursday, October 6th, at 6pm.

The other seven screenings will be Friday 7 at 16, Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 at 18, Friday 14 at 16 and Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 at 18.

Seats can be booked online, starting from Tuesday 4 October, on the website of the Municipality of Morón. Another option is, if you have the Morón app downloaded by hand or, they say, pick it up on the same day as the show at the Teatro Gregorio de Laferrere.

But Morón will not be the only municipality in Buenos Aires to offer this free opportunity to see the film also starring Alejandra Flechner, Norman Briski and Carlos Portaluppi.

In one tweet the data seemed to see Argentina, 1985in Quilmes, even for free and before Morón: starting tomorrow, Monday 3 October.

“Data for Quilmeños and Quilmeñas. Free and free shows at the Municipal Theater (Miter 721) “. And the days are detailed: “Monday 3, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 5, Thursday 6, Monday 10, Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12. All at 18:00, except Thursday 6, which will be at 20:00”.

Clarione production sources consulted Argentina, 1985, who stated that “in areas where there is no competition, since there are no theaters that are not independent, the film has been sold to the INCAA Spaces and these spaces sell the locations at the same price as other films”. They are much cheaper. For example, in the Gaumont (not given Argentina, 1985(but to get an idea) admission is $ 90.

Regarding the fact that admission is free and free, the same source – who asked to remain anonymous – stated that “we don’t give them, someone will buy tickets and give them away. We don’t give functions for free, and neither does the distributor” .

From the night of Friday 30 September, the President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández, has a copy of Argentina, 1985 at your disposal in the microcinema of the presidential Quinta de Olivos.

The government itself had organized a special screening of the film on Thursday 29 September, the day of its premiere, at the Espacio INCA KM 0 (or Gaumont cinema, as it was known), to which the president had been invited, but warned in advance that the president would not attend.

In that screening, organized by the National Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), Gabriela Cerruti, head of the Communication Unit of the presidential management, Nicolás Batlle, interim vice president of the INCAA presidency and various authorities of the Institute.

Also Agustina Llambi Campbell, one of the producers of the film, co-screenwriter Mariano Llinás and human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, as well as special guests such as Víctor Laplace and students from secondary schools and schools and film institutions.

So the President may have already seen Argentina, 1985 in the Quinta de Olivos. You can do this at any time of rest. And that should definitely not attract attention, as Olivos’ microcinema has been used by all the leaders who have recently sat in Rivadavia’s chair.
