The book

Paul David “Bono” Hewson announced the release of the book with his memoirs in May and he did so on his birthday.

Yield: 40 songs, one story It will be released simultaneously worldwide by Penguin Random House. There will be a paper edition, with hardcover and 576 pages, another version in electronic book and also as an audiobook narrated by Bono himself, who has already uploaded some sections to his U2 channel on YouTube.

There are 40 chapters where each is titled with the name of a U2 song. The edition will also bring the drawings made by Bono.

“I started writing it hoping to make a detailed outline of what I meant by just the songs. The people, places and possibilities of my life. Surrender is a word full of meaning. Growing up in Ireland in the 1970s with my fists raised didn’t come naturally to me, ”she said.

Stories include accounts of his childhood in Dublin, the sudden death of his mother when he was 14 and U2’s rise to become one of the biggest and most famous groups in the world, as well as his work as an activist, fighting against the ‘AIDS and extreme poverty.
