Argentine television fiction has moved through different thematic scenarios, repetitively in different cases, to, from there, trigger each plot. But almost always from the collective card.
If necessary – and with memory, file or Google on our side -, there would be for each of those items more than ten examples to name “the unforgettable ones of the camp”. But to build the table The memorable goalkeepers of the TV could reach with the fingers of one hand.
This comes on the heels of phenomenal success – at least in terms of word of mouth and elevator travel recommendations – of The one in chargethe series starring Guillermo Francella which just premiered on Star +.
In its 71-year history, the small screen has had this role many times in its strips or units, almost always as a supporting actor or extra. And bowling too. But there was some productions in which the plots were centered on the man who took care of the maintenance of the building in question.
Although Elisha – that of Francella – there is only one, There are a handful of imaginary goalkeepers who deserve to be dusted off.
Beto Baldes (Miguel Angelo Rodriguez)
Love for you2008 (The thirteen)
He was one of the three central characters of the Polka, along with Margarita Carloni (Claribella Medina) and Mauritius (Raul Taibo). Growing up in a love triangle, the comedy revolved around a woman who, by whims of the script or fate, had to be cleaning a building, having no idea how to do it.
And then Beto came in, whose surname winked at the buckets he used for corridors and sidewalks. He was in charge of the building across the street, who It didn’t take a minute to cross the street to make Margarita easier tasks.
He had a son, León (Nicolás Cabré), they lived alone. Beto was a father and was married to Ángela Torales (Paw Echegoyen), with whom she lived in strong marital tension.
The arrival of Margherita in the neighborhood ignited all her virtues. Beto was the good guy on the block, the always ready whatever the hour was. Unlike Elisha, he had far more lights than shadows.
And after several comings and goings, with the dentist who invented Taibo in the middle, Margarita and Beto were delighted. And Baldés also became a key figure in Rodríguez’s personal gallery, which he spent his time signing autographs on the wet pavements of Olivoswhere the outsiders were registered.
Another goalkeeper emerges from that band, the Placido Dominguez who interpreted Roly Serranoone who knew how to play with comforts.
Wilson (Berugo Carambula)
They are loves2002 (The thirteen)
In the original scheme, and in the credits, his was not a main character, but it ended up becoming a fundamental piece of the play in which they starred Miguel Angelo Rodriguez (here he was a soccer referee), Nicolás Cabré, Mariano Martínez and Florencia Bertotti.
Wilson he was in charge of the Roberto Sánchez building (Rodríguez), where his nephews, the three Marquises brothers, also went to live. Uruguayan as the actor who played himWilson knew more than he was letting on, and nothing was lost to him. Every now and then he released a “botija” and knew how to move according to his different interlocutors.
To Re Sole Marquesi (Martínez) and his brother Pablo (Cabré) he covered them too much, but his greatest loyalty was with the landlord. Sheathed in his beige work jacket, I’ve always had flannel on hand and a gesture of “I don’t know, I haven’t seen it, I haven’t heard it” as a first reaction to gossip in the corridor.
“He’s a very special character because, like all executives, he knows what’s going on in all departments. He is very friendly with Miguel’s character, he helps him, he makes friends with his grandchildren from the inside. He’s pretty mischievous and lovely (…) he’s crazy. And Adrián (Suar) told me ‘Come on, it’s you’. And it reminded me of my times hyperhumor. I have a lot of fun doing it, “she told the Carámbula newspaper (who died in 2015). Black River in 2002.
Roman Bodabilla (Daniele Hendler)
There is no one living here2008 (telephone)
Adapted from the 2003 Spanish series, it tells the story the magnifying glass on the inhabitants of a three-story building and on the colorful characters. Among them, Román Bobadilla, the creature who definitely brings Hendler closer to television.
The Uruguayan was part of the main choir along with Julieta Ortega, Eduardo Blanco and Roberto Carnaghi, among others. “He likes to call himself a manager, not a goalkeeper,” explained the actor Clarioneat the end of 2007, in view of the premiere.
with his uniform sand color and hair combed backRomán officiated as an ally to the president of the consortium, Juan Cuesta, in charge of Blanco, who lived in the 2nd “A”.
“Roman He’s a very smart guy for little work. He doesn’t have a very competitive spirit and likes to look for shortcuts to save his own energy (…) He is a bum, regardless of his profession “, defined Hendler, who, while not believing himself a goalkeeper, He lived in the porter’s lodge with his father, Hipólito, played by Carnaghi.
He certainly wasn’t a bum, but he didn’t look much like Beto Baldés from the sidewalk opposite, that of the Trece (the two programs were broadcast in 2008).
apart from this there was no fiction about goalkeepers as a community, TV has its own history of horizontal ownership spread over time. And in the channels.
