Two and a half years after the premiere of The President, the series that, between fiction and parody, addressed the issue of FIFAGate in a pandemic, this Friday comes the second seasonwith the magnifying glass focused on corruption and, also, in the shadow of the 78 World Cup.
Directed and written by Armando Bowill premiere on November 4 on Amazon Prime Video, with several well-known faces, actors and characters.
In the main roles there will be the Portuguese actor Albano Girolamo and the Brazilians Eduardo Moscovis Y Maria Fernanda Candido.
Colombian actor Andrea Parra will be part of the game again, always in Sergio Jadue’s skin, but now in the role of a storyteller.
the cast of the president 2 also includes Anna Brewster, Carol Abras, Nelson Freitas, Polliana Aleixo, Isadora Ferrite, Leonardo Cidade, Leandro Firmino, Demétrio Nascimento Alves, Fabio Aste and Philippe Jacq. In the Portuguese dubbed version, Fábio Porchat will take care of the storytelling.
With a satirical look – along the same lines as the story published on June 5, 2020 -, this second installment will show the behind the scenes of corruption in the world of football, with focus on the strategies of João Havelange, his relationship with power and his links with the Argentine dictatorship in the World 78.
His first will be global, with which can be seen in 240 countries to which the streaming platform arrives.

One of the key moments of this second season is the chapter dedicated to the bonds that were intertwined during the 78 World Cup, played in our country and in which Argentina was champion. Not only is the climate of the period recreated, taking into account all the scenic detailsbut a certain similarity was also sought in the composition of the characters.
So there was a deep characterization work by Fabio Posca and Fabio Albertiplaying the ggeneral Jorge Rafael Videla and the admiral Carlo Alberto Lacoste.
“IS the second season is different from the first. It focuses on the transition of football as an amateur sport to a money making machine.
