Diego Torres joins the Wateke Festival, where Vicentico, Turf and even Topa were already present

After a first edition in the summer of 2016 in Pinamar, the Watche Festival moved to Buenos Aires and became an annual tradition combining music and gastronomy. This time it will be done Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December in the vast premises of the Palermo Hippodrome, with a list of 100 artists that has just been enriched Diego Torres for closure.

The grid of five scenarios is completed with names such as Vicentico, Turf, Nonpalidece, Clara Cava, El Choque Urbano, Los Tabaleros, Mike Amigorena, DJ Mami and more, such as the children’s entertainer bumps.

Gastronomy

The festival is at the same time a fair with the best and most varied gastronomic proposals: Creole gastronomy from neighboring countries and neighboring cultures, offerings of dishes from foreign cultures with local ingredients, beach dishes, grills and paellas.

There will be an ice cream shop, a pastry shop and an artisan café, brunches and various proposals for sweet and savory snacks, a space for artisan fermented foods, tastings of wines and craft beers on tap, as well as proposals for celiacs, vegans and vegetarians.

Already confirmed the positions of the restaurants Niño Gordo, Chori, Alo’s, The brick dance, Pescadito, Cocina de mar, Buller and Rabieta.

For boys

The activities for girls and boys They are designed for all ages. There will be a Plaza Sonora responsible for El Choque Urbano, eighty artists and circus groups such as Anda Calabaza, Pequeño Pez, Nilcos, Improcrash Kids, Rudy Guemes and Grupo Carcajadas. It will be possible to do and see mass art, Christmas Orchestra, Gymnasium, beach sports, experimental garden, mini transit, mini city, carousel and soft plaza.

Wateke’s proposition is to go island hopping and meet each other different experiencesalso including a microtheatre, Guigul Payer, Improcrash, Kanalu Wood, Las Cardinales (Tarot and Astrology), Eco Glitter stations and temporary tattoos.

Sustainable

Wateke is committed to use of biodiesel and solar energy. Build the festival with reusable materials from industrial waste, and promote circularity of materials (every material/item that enters has its destination after the festival), as well as donate to different NGOs.

The concept and its manifesto

According to the organizers, “We bring people together and immerse ourselves a fantastic and real world where all the senses are stimulated”.

And they add: “Wateke is a place without borders where there are no age or cultural differences. Where ideologies and beliefs coexist in harmony. A place where mass entertainment and care for the environment is possible. Every person understands that we are all the same. Wateke, the celebration of all that is good for us!”
