Sublime This is a two-way relationship. Two friends who, in full adolescence, may not be surprised by words, but discover that there is something more between them than that affection.

Mariano Biasin’s first feature film is a coming of age, a film in which sudden growth has its effects, in which its protagonists, Manuel (Martín Miller) and Felipe (Teo Inama Chiabrando) share fears and hopes. Martín is 16 years old and we can imagine that he feels or suspects that his life will change. And a breakthrough at that age probably marks forever.

What if the bond they cultivated as kids, as seen in that birthday home video, is broken? What’s left?

They have life ahead of them, but Sublime it remains there, on the beach, on the coast, where much of this intimate story takes place in which the actions of the young people seem spontaneous when not forced by some half-said high school text.

Manuel and Felipe have a musical group, with other friends. Manuel will demonstrate fears of him, even before the next show they will give shortly, and will have somewhat enlightening talks with his father.

Director Biasin, former assistant director of acacias And Invisibleby Pablo Giorgelli, and by the sleepwalkers Y My masterpiecelet what matters be as natural as possible.

supporting cast

Also co-star Javier Drolas -the father of the protagonist, and who took on the main role of good intentionsmovie with which Sublime shares, has many points of contact and not only in his style-, other well-known faces are those of Marcello Subiotto Y Jorge Sesan.

After going through several festivals, such as Berlin, Biarritz, San Sebastián, Seattle, San Francisco and recently in Mar del Plata, Sublime it has something of Giorgelli’s cinema, for his gaze, his times and his need to tell something that may not be urgent, but which is always necessary for his protagonists.
