It is that in Federico Jusid his professional activity coexists between concert music, with works performed for the first time by the most important orchestras in the world, and the composition of soundtracks, having already more than seventy feature films and forty television series to his credit.

Son of the famous director Juan José Jusid and the actress Luigi BrandoFederico grew up on film sets, developed his career as a director, composer and pianist and now lives between Madrid and Los Angeles.

In this concert at the Colón, Jusid will perform at the helm of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, performing pieces by Ginastera, Nante and two of his pieces. One of these, a concert for accordion and symphony orchestra, dedicated to the soloist Iñaki Alberdi, a work commissioned by the Philharmonic. The work will have several successive performances with various European orchestras, after this premiere, for which she has invited her mother, as a speaker.

Among his original compositions for films, the soundtrack for the award-winning The secret in their eyesdirected by Juan José Campanella and Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. And among its most extraordinary series of exhibits Englishdirected by Hugo Blick and protagonist Emilia Blunt.

In recent years he has distinguished himself with numerous international awards, nominated for an Emmy, three platinum awards, two Goyas, among others.

This exceptional ranking also includes compositions for Neruda, EThe President (directed by Armando Bo)El verano que vivimos, Loving Pablo, Misconduct, Kidnap and 7 Años, films of which he was an executive producer and of which he distributed the theatrical version in Spain, France, Greece, Argentina and Mexico.

He has also composed the music for Life Itself, Twelve Year Night and the animated mini-series Watership Down for the BBC.

Jusid has performed as a soloist in some of the most recognized venues in the United States, Asia and Europe, such as Carnegie Weill Hall in New York, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra House in Tel Aviv and the National Auditorium in Madrid.

In addition, Jusid has performed with world-renowned orchestras such as the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra, the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, the Paris Sinfonietta, the Galician Symphony Orchestra, the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, among others.
