Beyond the World Cup climate that exists these days, reality shows reign supreme on television. The Argentinian voice (Phone), sing with me now (The Thirteen) e Big Brother 2022 (Telefe) are a clear example of this. Also, lately, many show business or sports personalities have their own documentary, from the Montaner family (Disney+) to the Argentina national team (on Netflix).
But there is a more local one that can be seen every afternoon: Elián Ángel Valenzuela’s reality show. Who? L-Ghent.
Singer cumbia 420 is always on screen and somehow he has his own reality showwhich is not on any international platform, but on the different TV channels.
Cell phones of different channels at the door of his house in General Rodríguez, province of Buenos Aires, are the order of the day.
The topic of the day can be the most varied: from rumors about the love story with Wanda Nara (now over with the media reconciliation with Mauro Icardi) to some controversial phrases that launched and opened the debate, the various conflicts with his ex Tamara Báez taking him away from his daughter, Jamaica; or some comparison with another famous person.
L-Gand gives way, leads rating and this causes the scene to repeat.
but there is a chapter of the L-Ghent reality show which was the most outstanding. This is what his father looks like, whom the musician stopped seeing when he was five years old.
In in the afternoon (America, Monday to Friday at 15:45), some time ago, the musician’s father, named Miguel Ángel Prosi, who lives in Basavilbaso, a town in Entre Ríos, spoke for the first time.
The man at first was quite reluctant to tell why the bond with his son had broken, until later he revealed that he was in prison and that little by little the visits of L-Gante (when he was still the little Elián) and his mother, Claudia Valenzuela, were spaced out until they were finally finished.
And how could it be otherwise, in the cycle conducted by Karina Mazzocco they crossed paths with the singer by telephone. The super intimate moment, which they both have surely been waiting for for years, was seen on live TV.
The father-son dialogue is excellent and incredible for several reasons. Without a doubt, it’s worth a close look.
Unlike his father, L-Gante showed great maturity, the one he sometimes lacks on other matters (especially in relation to his conflicted separation), and invited him to put aside the cameras and meet again. “If you want to come, I’ll send you an Uber right away,” he launched, true to his style. But, when it seemed that it was easy for him, he set one condition: “Have him bring a rib.”
Despite all this, Miguel, as if he were the one who could make requests in this situation, asked that the musician come to his house. “We’ll be alone here and we can talk calmly,” he assured.
So it was. Some time later the face to face between father and son took place after 17 years and – how could it be otherwise – the cameras were there.
“What are you doing dad?”said the musician when he saw his father, quite naturally, in what It could very well be a great season finale for your reality show.
