The Weeknd announced his show in Argentina

Great news for fans of pop and music in general. The Weeknd will perform again in Argentina, following his celebrated show at Lollapalooza Argentina 2017. It will be next year, at the San Isidro Racecourse, the same venue where he dazzled at that memorable festival.

This Monday, Nov. 28, Diamond Award-winning artist The Weeknd announced 2023 dates expanding his After Hours Til Dawn Tour.

The next leg of the artist-led tour kicks off on Saturday 10th June in Manchester, UK. at the Etihad Stadium. He will then stop in Europe (Stockholm, Amsterdam).

The Latin American side will have it in places such as Mexico City (September 29), Colombia (October 4), Rio de Janeiro (October 7), São Paulo (October 10), to conclude in Santiago de Chile on Sunday October 15 at the Stadium of the Bicentennial in La Florida.

The penultimate stage, and the one that sees us as protagonists, will be on its way Buenos Aires, October 13 at the San Isidro Racecourse.

His last two albums

From his remembered show at Lollapalooza Argentina 2017, The Weeknd has released two incredible albums, after hours (2020) and Sunrise FM (2022), which they will play live in front of their local fans for the first time.

According to information released by its promoters, it is the largest production of his career: the touring shows reflect his creative path as it has shown itself in the eyes of the world in recent years, bringing together a multiplicity of worlds that open up visually and conceptually as well as sonicly.

This tour by The Weeknd is also the first to integrate 3.0 technology for a unique experience: it is powered by Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, which brings Web 3.0 technology to viewers Worldwide.

Ticket holders receive souvenir NFTs and gain access to an exclusive collection of NFTs for The Weeknd tour, in partnership with HXOUSE, a think tank and community incubator for creative entrepreneurs. Five percent of NFT Collection sales from the upcoming tour will be donated to the XO Humanitarian Fund.

The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) is an ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme. And he’s teamed up with them again to contribute to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organization’s response to the unprecedented global hunger crisis. One euro for every ticket sold in Europe, one pound in the UK and the equivalent of one dollar in Latin American countries will go to this important cause.

The fund raised funds during the North American leg of the tour through ticket sales, proceeds from an exclusive tour T-shirt, and a $500,000 donation directly from The Weeknd.

The artist’s corporate partners, tour venues, board of directors and US World Food Program supporters also offered to contribute, as did tour sponsor Binance, which contributed $2 million.

The first grant of $2 million will provide emergency food and nutrition assistance to the most food insecure regions of Ethiopia.
