Samuel L. Jackson came out to challenge director Quentin Tarantino’s comments that the actors in Marvel superhero films weren’t actually “movie stars,” that the real stars were the characters.
“I think it takes an actor to be able to play those particular characters,” Samuel L. Jackson said on the show. The sight, questioning the interpretation of the concept of “star” that Quentin Tarantino, the great director of Once upon a time in Hollywood.
Jackson was closely associated with Tarantino’s career: he was a part of many of his films such as Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown Y Django Unchained.

In his statements, the director had underlined that the public who went to see this type of film did so for the characters, “therefore those who play them aren’t really film actors”.
