The facts

the dog sitter Ryan Fischer was walking Lady Gaga’s three French bulldogs on February 24, 2021, when they confronted him and shot him. The attackers fled and stole two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav.

According to the criminal complaint, Jackson was one of three men driving through Los Angeles looking for the expensive breed of bulldog when they happened upon Fischer and the singer’s pets.

Two of the men jumped out of the car and began choking and beating Fischer, who fought off the attackers. Another hit the dog walker and the three fled with Gaga’s two pets.

A nearby video camera recorded the moment the walker screams “My God, I’ve been shot! Help, my chest is bleeding!”

Fischer was seriously injured but survived the attack. Days later, on social media, Fischer wrote that “I was very close to death”.

The dogs were returned after the star offered a $500,000 reward, and the person who returned them was also arrested.

“The plea deal holds Mr. Jackson accountable for committing a ruthless and violent act and provides justice for our victim,” the attorney’s office said.

Jackson was accidentally released from custody in April due to what officials called “a clerical error,” but was found in August and taken back into custody.

Jackson is one of five people charged in the attack, including two who were charged as accomplices after the fact.

Harold White, another of the defendants, also did not contest the charge of an ex-con with a gun, and will be sentenced next year.

Jaylin White, 20, was sentenced to four years in prison earlier this year after pleading no contest to a second-degree robbery charge and admitting to charges that a member of the group was armed during the ‘accident.

They didn’t know the dogs were his

According to the investigators, the criminals were looking for dogs of that breed, and did not know who the owner was. “They were just going around town looking for French bulldogs,” they said.

Lady Gaga has never commented on the incident.
