Abel Pintos had a great gesture of solidarity and moving words in his closing show of 2022 held last Saturday at the Estadio Único Diego Maradona de La Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires. The singer, together with the managers of Plan Divino Marcelo González and Jorge Quinteros, invited 1000 visually impaired students who attend various special education schools in the province of Buenos Aires to attend the concert.
The show where Abel Pintos reviewed the most popular songs of his career lasted nearly three hours. At the end of the show, the musician approached to greet and thank the students who had accepted his invitation. In addition, everyone received a specially designed songbook in Braille as a gift.
“You made a “thank you” sign for me, but I’m the thankful one Abel Pintos told the youth. Thank you for coming. And I want to thank the directors of the schools because you trusted us in a very special way when we made this invitation.”
“The intention with all the companions of Plan Divino was that you could come and experience a concert in a stadium -he continued to explain to them after the show-. The concerts in the stadiums are lived with a lot of energy, there are so many people with so much joy, so many people who celebrate in a very special way. And when we proposed this, you trusted me and I’m very happy you were here.”
Then the musician, moved, said: “I believe a lot in God. We are all children of God, we are children of love. You are my brothers and I love you very much”.
In farewell, Abel Pintos told the 1,000 special school students who attended his concert: “I embrace you all. May you return home safe and sound. May God and the Virgin protect you until your return. And may may you have a happy holiday. I love you so much. Thank you very much.”
36 songs and a guest artist
Among the 36 songs that Abel Pintos offered to the public in his show last Saturday at the Estadio Único de La Plata, there were Your voice, Oncemil, The key, Singing Bird, Motivos, De solo vivir, Cien Años, Espejo, El Amor in la mia vita, El Hechizo, Piedra Libre, Abrazándos, Sin principi ni final and El Mar… And while they played the chords of “Aventura”, the musician, his guest Marcela Morelo, took the stage.
Several months ago, when this closing concert of the 2022 season was announced, Abel Pintos said: “Life is full of moments that happen only once. Even in routine, in repetition, there are unique moments”.
And then, on that occasion, the musician gave some examples: “The moment of the first step, of the first kiss or in which you decide to change something is unique. Everything we live, everything that happens to us, is unique like the life So, so, on December 10 we will experience a unique night at Único.” And so it was.
