A sad day for the music world. Since Maxi Jazz, the lead singer of the group Faithless, a British electronic music band that has toured the world and also visited Argentina, has died.
The musician was 65 years old and the sad news happened on Friday 23 December at his home in south London, England, the night before Christmas Eve. Maxi Jazz died in his sleep.
This was confirmed by the keyboardist Sister Bliss, who was also part of the group. “We are heartbroken to share that Maxi Jazz passed away peacefully in her sleep last night. We send love to everyone who has shared our musical journey.. Please take care of each other, did you hear me?, as she put it, wrote the music on Twitter.
The confirmation of the band
Later, the band’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts also confirmed that Maxi Jazz died in his sleep. And they fired him with an emotional message where they thanked the great human being he was beyond the music.
“He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave a proper meaning and message to our music. He was also a fascinating human being, with time for everyone and a wisdom that was as profound as it was accessible.”
Faithless concluded her farewell message by making sure working with him was another level. Furthermore, they also thanked the fans for accompanying them along with Maxi Jazz during their great musical journey.
“It has been an honor and obviously a real pleasure to work with him. He was a brilliant lyricist, DJ, Buddhist, magnificent stage presence, car lover, inexhaustible charlatan, beautiful person, moral compass and genius. Rest in peace dear Massimo. 1957 – 2022. And thank you Faithless family for all the love you have shown us over the years.
His show in Argentina
Faithless were able to showcase their music in Argentina, at the 2005 Southfest Festival, which was held at Luna Park, with two performances. The eight-member combo led by Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss revised their songs during two concerts of approximately one and a half hours.
Faithless’ music can be described as a combination of hip hop and dance. Among his hits, songs such as insomnia, God is a DJ Y we come 1.
The group was formed in 1999 and disbanded in 2010. But in 2015 they resumed activity.
