“I’m in the same room in the summer house we bought with her. And she’s in the waves dancing in the sea in the background,” he added.

“Happy birthday dear María Inés. Since January 27, 1972, it’s been the first birthday you’ve been away. It’s a very strange feeling, dear Mary. It’s like my whole being is waiting to emerge from a nightmare. Like those dreams where you struggle to wake up, but the dream doesn’t end,” he was honest.
“Today is a very special day for me. It’s your 71st birthday and tomorrow marks 6 months since you left. Time has always come between us. In 50 years time has always been one of construction, of joys and travails which together, always together, we have endured with the strength that love gives,” she recalled.
