It was born in the Abasto district, at the request of the City Department of Culture and of companies dedicated to industrial and artistic painting. For the creation of murals that will remain in the neighborhood for the use of the community, the renowned plastic artist Delia Cancela, the cartoonist and author of children’s books Isol Misenta, the filetadora Silvia Dotta were summoned, generating a new cultural tourist spot at the Level of Buenos Aires.

“The women of my life”: all Maitena in the CCK

The CCK continues to present the first retrospective exhibition of Maitena, an icon of Argentine humor and culture, a sociologist of everyday life and an inescapable point of reference for Latin American comics. The exhibition, curated by Liliana Viola and designed by Alejandro Ros, covers eight rooms on the fourth floor of the Kirchner.

During the tour you can see sketches and original pieces of his greatest hits such as Altered Women, Outdated and Dangerous Curveserotic drawings that were part of his publications in Sex humor, pigs and fish and the iron and a room dedicated to sharing the creative process with the public.
