After a long period away from the cameras, in 2012 Juan Ignacio Machado he was back with everything on television. On that occasion he was part of well-known strips such as Booties, Legacy of Love, The Owner Y Sweet love. But then it disappeared again.

Is that after a year full of successes, the actor once again stepped aside. Partly due to the lack of fiction on Argentine television, but also due to a sensational change in life: he separated from his wife, left the island where he lived in the delta of the Tigre, moved with his 7-year-old daughter and transferred dedicated to politics.

-In 2012 you reappeared with everything on television. What happened after? Why did you leave?

-I started making films and then I started working in Tiger culture and producing. I wasn’t seen much, but I was producing and working a lot Sergio Massa. After Ankle boots There wasn’t much more on TV, the cans came. There began to be fewer and fewer, there wasn’t much fiction, and I have an outstanding representative who is Mauricio Catarain.

-How did you feel at that moment?

-I was calm because I was in my stick, in the direction of Tigre culture, I started coordinating workshops of many things, theater, fabric. Even the murgas, the carnivals, the museums… I worked on them for a long time. Now I work as Cultural Assessor in the Chamber of Deputies of the Province, generating cultural ties and relationships between the Municipalities of the Province. In addition, I participate in the organization of cultural events of the Chamber of Deputies of La Nación.

How did you find yourself in this new role?

-I really loved it. I really loved it. With my partner at the time we talked and said, where does this politics thing come from? There is no one in the family who has.

-At that time of job change, moreover, you separated and your daughter remained with you. Is that so?

-Yes, you saw that the girls belong to their father… Carolina, who was 7 years old, came to live with me. I lived in my house on an island in the Delta and a few meters away I had a hotel with eleven rooms and six cabins. I left him and when I leave the island, the girl comes with me. We went to the continent, we needed a little bit of the continent. We went to live in El Talar de Pacheco.

-How was your bond with your daughter during that phase?

-She always accompanied me to all the jobs, in the dressing rooms, she grew up there in politics with me. I have wonderful memories like Children’s Day, when we brought projectors, films and popcorn to the poorest neighborhoods of Tigre. He scared her. You have good memories Carolina. We did that job, over there I had nowhere to leave her and she went everywhere with me.

-And how was your life on the island before you moved? How did you organize yourself to go and record?

-Most people who live on the island take the boat at 6am, like a bus in their neighborhood. They arrive in Tigre, train for Retiro or San Isidro or take the car to the mainland. You take nothing. You have a boat more or less every hour.

-Do you remember any particular anecdote of your life on the island?

-I went to the Martín Fierro fully dressed, with the tide, full of water on all sides. I used to go to the Martín Fierro from the island, dressed as a gala, with the tide, which is when the water rises and you have to go in your underwear to where the bus stops and you dry off there. Everyone does this, or they go in shorts and in the bathroom of the boat you dry off and your entourage arrives on dry land. I just had a terrible tide for the Martín Fierro family and it was a lot of fun.

-Did your daughter Carolina attend a school on the island?

-No, I’ve always wanted him to travel, to be metropolitan, to move, not to stay, because the willow disease exists, it’s a reality. It is a myth of the island.

– How is that of willow disease?

-There is the islander, the delteño and the islander. Islero is no more, they are the ones who made the joints up there. The Islander is the born and bred, attending the island schools. And the delteño is like me, he came with his culture. The bad thing about the willow is that, for example, you have to go register and you stay. It’s like a fever. It’s impressive, it can last two or three days. It’s impressive, it’s magical, it’s not nice that it happens to you but when it happens to you it’s suffering and joy.

-Do you love nature?

-I grew up in the fields, I worked a lot in the fields and we have horses, chickens, piglets, cows. It’s great to have them.

Do you spend a lot of time there?

Yes, almost always. Now we are alone with Carolina on the pitch. My mother unfortunately broke her hip and was hospitalized and I have a sister who is also hospitalized, she has very strong depression problems. She is a divine actress. The two are hospitalized together. It’s a difficult time for me, two years ago mum broke down and we sent her with my sister to the same place as I knew this would affect my sister a lot.

-And how are you coping with that family situation?

-My brothers are missing, my brother’s children are not there and I accompany him for a while and pick them up and bring them back. Mom is already walking, but it’s been a very tough two years. Especially the loneliness due to the moral fraud of my brothers, who left me alone with my mother and sister and disappeared like this… I still don’t understand it. They have all disappeared. I had to quit my job, but even so I continued with my productions, shooting and everything, doing everything.

TV news and social networks

Despite always remaining “in a suit and tie”, Machado had great successes, not only in 2012, but also many years before.

Since making his big screen debut, when he was just 19 years old, with the punk professorthe remembered film that had Jorge Porcel as the protagonist, he worked on countless projects, such as Rich and famous Y Gift of heaven.

-Did you miss television in these ten years?

-Which TV? There is no television, you have it Big Brother and Turkish novels. There is no fiction.

-What do you think of current television?

-It’s scary, there is no television. Big Brother it’s scary. Being an Argentinian actor, no matter how good foreign soap operas are, the truth is that I come from River, Argentine and Leonine, so I don’t like it when they come to my job, especially cans. I don’t like what manufacturers do. You have the afternoon programs, the people screaming, who are actors or extras. Then Marcelo Tinelli, who I don’t like either, even if what he’s doing now is fine.

-And how are you doing with social networks?

-I’m an accountant, the networks are there to count. If I’m suffering for love, I say it, it’s not bad, I say it. I don’t have anyone, my mother is hospitalized, I don’t want to involve my daughters. I’ll tell you, it’s not bad to talk about love or say “that made my balls swell.” I can say that and I don’t think it’s wrong. It’s like a fever that takes me and then goes away.

-Are you using WhatsApp and those types of applications?

-I have a WhatsApp group of ex-girlfriends, who are divine friends. It’s called “love or fear.” They get together, have coffee. They are the most.

How did you get the idea to create the group?

-And since I was talking to one, to the other, I said that I’ll join them all, if all goes well. I put them all together. They trade things, they sell things, they’re friends, they meet for coffee, and it’s all good. I speak little. Families are built on love. That’s why I say, love or fear? They are two sensations, there is not much more. And I connect a lot with love. I went there and for the light and I no longer judge. I used to get very angry, I was a bitch.

-And how are you now?

-Sometimes it’s time to cry and sometimes it’s time to laugh. Today is time to laugh, today is time to do, today is time to work and move forward. Last year I spent Christmas Eve alone, my mother and sister hospitalized, my brothers disappeared, my daughters were with their mother. And I bought another portion, put another plate, another glass and nobody came. I went through it alone, but it was a good experience. And I spent this Christmas Eve with my mother, with my sister, with my daughters. Then it’s time to laugh. You must be well prepared. When you are alone is when you are most with God.
