Mario Vargas Llosa’s son posted photos of his parents together three months ago

Álvaro Vargas Llosa became his father’s best publicist and his spokesman publicize their state of mind after the announcement of the breakup of their relationship with Isabel Preysler. This Sunday, January 8, on his Twitter account, @AlvaroVargasLl, the writer and journalist also published a series of photographs, dating back to three months earlier, in which his parents, Mario Vargas Llosa and Patricia Losa.

The eldest son of the writer, which already documented the New Year’s Eve that father and son spent together in Chantilly (France), now explains that the family, parents and three brothers, Álvaro, Gonzalo and Morgana, shared a trip to Peru three months ago.

He says that there, in addition to touring the north of the country, they were in the house in Lima which was the family residence and which now, after the divorce agreements, is owned by Patricia Llosa, as well as an apartment in New York and a house in the Dominican Republic.

The writer had an apartment in Paristhat of Madrid, where he now resides, and a property in Arequipa, his hometown, where the other part of his vast library is located, full of original editions, investment of the Nobel Prize, always in search of bibliographic treasures.

Golden wedding and separation

The couple, married in 1965, celebrated their golden wedding weeks earlier, in the spring of 2015, through the magazine Hello! the relationship between the Nobel laureate and Isabel Preysler has been made public. In 2018, the couple signed a divorce and the distribution of assets.

The relationship between Vargas Llosa and Isabel Preysler blew up the family relationship of the Nobel, who managed to maintain communication only with his eldest son, Álvaro.

Over time, Mario Vargas Llosa he has resumed contact with his other two children and also with his ex-wife. Patricia Llosa, who during their fifty years of marriage, had tolerated that her husband had sporadic extramarital affairs, now she does not seem willing to resume a relationship with the father of her children.

She declared it in public and in private and also the Nobel Prize winner, who answered with a resounding “No” when, a few days ago, one of the journalists who keep watch in front of her house in Madrid asked her.

Did he want to come back and she said no?

Yes, it is true that the Nobel Prize tried a few months ago to return to his ex-wife, after being convinced that his relationship with Isabel Preysler had failed. The answer, then, of Patricia Llosa was negative, even if the photos now published by her son show that this nor is it a closed door.

For now, the images confirm that, despite the breakdown of the marriage relationship, Mario Vargas Llosa and Patricia Llosa, together with their three children, maintain a good family relationship.
