The Stones keep rolling

Diffused by British media The Sun, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, confirmed months ago that they were working on a new album. “We’re on the new album now and we’re going to Los Angeles in a few weeks to finish it,” Wood said.

He also confirmed to the same source that unreleased recordings will be included with the band’s late former drummer, Charlie Watts: “Charlie is on some of the songs and drummer Steve Jordan is too,” said the guitarist.

The release will include a performance on the band’s 50th anniversary tour, where they guested at, among others, Lady Gaga.

The peculiarity is that although it was recorded a decade ago, that Rolling Stones show was not available to fans because it was originally broadcast on pay-per-view.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will appear by tapping next to charlie watts due to the concert being filmed with the entire Stones lineup, prior to his death in 2021.

There were other luxury guests on that tour Bruce Springsteen, The Black Keys, Mick Taylor, Gary Clark Jr. Y John Mayer.

Among the topics we will hear are some of the group’s biggest hits, including It’s just rock ‘n’ roll (but I like it), Honky Tonk Women, Start Me Up, Gimme Shelter, Sympathy For The Devil and (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.

On behalf of Bono

bassist of U2 Adam ClaytonDuring a recent interview, he assured that it’s almost time to listen to the new album. And she hinted that it will be this year

“We have worked hard and finally the end of this new project is approaching. We are very happy and though sincerely there is no official date, we want the album out as soon as possible. The best results come after a lot of work and we want this new album to be special or even more special than our best records,” she said.

The Irish posted a Christmas EP in late 2021 and then Bono set about launching the book with his memoirs. But of music, very little.

Something strange Adam said was this: “We’ve finished this album, but maybe we’ll release a rock ‘n’ roll album first. So we will not delete Songs of ascent for the moment”, explained the vocalist, suggesting that he has an unreleased album in the pipeline and another musical project in the pipeline.

“We need to reignite the firepower of rock ‘n’ roll!”

In turn, Bono revealed that U2 is over 20 themes for an album titled Songs of ascentbut they still don’t want to publish it.

He insisted that the album was not “permanently axed” but merely “held back” and noted that the band intend to release “a loud, uncompromising and unreasonable guitar album”.

He concluded with high self-esteem: “I wouldn’t be surprised if U2 did that the best album of his life in the next few years. Not because the world needs it, but because the band could. This is a great reason to go to the studio.”
