Actress Brooke Shields reveals she was raped as a young actress taking her first steps in Hollywood, in new documentary about her life cute babywhich just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

The former supermodel born in Manhattan she did not reveal the identity of her rapistbut he said he saw the man, whom he already knew, shortly after he graduated from college, thinking he was at a business meeting for a new film.

The man took her to her hotel and told her he would call a taxi from her room. Instead, he went to the bathroom before going out naked and raping her.

“I didn’t even fight, I didn’t, I just said to myself ‘stay alive and then run away’,” he added. “I was completely petrified”

After the attack, Brooke Shields recalls phoning a friend who worked in security, Gavin de Becker, who said: “It’s rape,” to which she replied, “I’m not ready to believe it.”

Until now, the 57-year-old actress had never spoken publicly about his attack

The reveal is one of many shocking moments in the film, which will premiere on streaming platform Hulu in two parts.

The first part examines the intense sexualization Shields experienced as a childincluding a highly controversial nude photoshoot when she was just 10 years old
