Although it had already been known for four months that he would take on this challenge, The novelty of this Thursday is that the show already has a premiere date: it will be March 16th at the Lola Members Theater. And the yapa of the announcement is that, in addition, the official photos and a backstage video of this production painting as an event have been released.

Aside from the complexity of the composition (he will be playing a woman), Vázquez knows that the original antecedent counts for a lot: Tootsie was immortalized by Dustin Hoffman in Sydney Pollack’s award-winning film.

But he falls in love with his co-star and then must find the best way to expose her lie, because he he was a better man as a woman than I ever was with a woman as a manAnd.

Nico’s word in Tootsie’s first steps

In September of last year, Vázquez shared his feelings with Clarin about this challenge.

  • “I am very happy with the proposal, to play with such a character, to go back to my beginnings with transformation, but at the same time to do it in a moment of great maturity. And, also, to give a message as important as the one that has the work”.
  • “It is very good because it has a lot of plays that I like to do. The original on Broadway has it and it is kept in the version by González del Pino and Masllorens, sitcom-like, for speed, but also romance and what matters behind it. I found myself studying, observing, looking for the voice with a speech therapisteverything as if it hasn’t happened to me for a long time”.
  • “The makeup artist, Verónica Fioravanti, did an amazing job and when i saw myself in the mirror it was very strong. I was very moved, because it was a transformation that I was putting together step by step. When we took the press photos, a lot of the team was there and there was incredible energy. It was magical, but it also has to do with all the previous work.”

Tickets will go on sale February 9, through www.plateanet.com and at the theater box office.
