“Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secret” hits theaters on March 14th and, with fans watching the film with devotion, we can already speculate on some of the next steps in the franchise, which is heading to show the duel between Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Gerard Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen), in addition to the possibility of traveling through the first years of Lord Voldemort in upcoming movies.

One of the characters that ended up being left out of the sequel was nagini, the pet snake of the “Harry Potter” villain. In “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”, we not only discover that she was actually a Maledictus, that is, a person cursed to transform into a snake, but also a friend of Credence/Aureliusfor whom he seemed to have a great affection, to the point of helping him to go after the truth about his origin.

With the absence of the new film, the story of nagini continues in “Harry Potter”, now living permanently as a snake because of his curse. Anyone who has read the books knows that Voldemort found her in a forest in Albania, in southeastern Europe, after her attempt to kill Harry Potterhindered by the love of lily potter.

What was left of the villain’s soul wandered through several animals, always killing them in the process, and settled into naginiwho received and helped Voldemort to stay alive until his return, nearly fifteen years later. Today we know that the main reason she put up with being possessed by the villain is because, in fact, she is not an ordinary animal.

But why the snake, who was once a witch with no apparent inclinations towards evil – considering that she refused to join the cult of Grindelwald –would become so faithful to one of the worst wizards of all time?

ATTENTION: If you don’t want to know details of what happens in “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”, I suggest you stop reading now and come back only when you’ve watched the movie, as the following paragraphs contain production spoilers.

This is where the theory comes in: the loyalty of nagini The Voldemort the villain was born and Aurelius were relatives. In “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”, we discover that the young man is the son of Aberforth Dumbledore (Richard Coyle), the result of a relationship with a girl from Godric’s Hollow, where the families lived Potter and Dumbledore. mother’s name Aureliushowever, is never revealed, which leads us to believe that she may have been a descendant of the family Peverell, who also lived in the Hollow. Do not understand anything? I explain!

For those who don’t remember, the Peverell were the brothers from “The Tale of the Three Brothers”, which depicts the origin story of the Deathly Hallows. If you’ve read the “Harry Potter” books, you might remember that Harry was a distant descendant of IGI notice Peverell, one of the brothers in history. However, whoever also descends from this lineage is Voldemortson of Merope Gauntfrom the family originated by Cadmus Peverellbrother of unknown.

Before giving rise to gauntNonetheless, Cadmus would need to have at least one son or daughter, as was the case with his brother, who continued his lineage and resulted in the Potter. That’s where the mother of Aurelius enter: and if she is the daughter of Cadmus or a descendant of the brother Peverell? This could make naginiwhen meeting with Voldemort and become aware of his history, develop affection for the descendant of his former friend.

Added to this is the fact that the villain is also descended from Salazar Slytherin, founder of Hogwarts house, which gives him the power to speak with snakes, a rather rare gift even among wizards. After so long without having anyone by his side or being able to communicate with other people, having someone who understood her and with whom she could share her thoughts would be comforting, to say the least.

Of course, all this is just a theory and only the next films in the franchise can confirm (or not) its veracity. For now, check out “Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore” in theaters, starting this Thursday (14). In history, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) brings together a peculiar team of wizards, led by Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and accompanied by the brave Muggle Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), to prevent Gerard Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) start a war against the Muggles.

David Yates, responsible for the two previous films in the franchise, is directing. The screenplay is by the author of the “Harry Potter” books, J.K. Rowlingin colaboration with Steve Kloves., responsible for seven of the eight film adaptations of the young wizard. We’ve already watched the long and you can check our review by clicking here.
