Hours after a new hospitalization of Santiago “Chano” Moreno Charpentier (41), his brother posted a strong letter on social media. Gonzalo “Bambi” Moreno Charpentier (38) thanked for the many expressions of support the family has received, but left a special request: “Be respectful of our pain”.
Chano has been hospitalized since Friday morning at the Otamendi Sanatorium due to a state of stress related to his addictions. The status of him is “confidential”.
This Sunday evening, Bambi -who accompanied him in Tan Biónica- reciprocated the affection received “in these gray days”, even if he also took some time to Send a message to those who came out to comment on the situation of the singer.
“Thank you for the love and good energy for my family in these gray days. We accompany Chano in his recovery, trusting in his strength and heart as a fighter to improve every day,” wrote the musician, who also started a solo career later for the group to go on hiatus.
After thanking the medical team treating his brother, he remarked: “I would like to ask from the bottom of my heart those who think they know what needs to be done in these cases, or how to take care of a person in a vulnerable state, who please be respectful of our pain and consider that we do our best to move forward”.
And he concluded: “Fortunately we have received expressions of affection and empathy that help us face this situation with strength and hope”.
Bambi’s request is in line with that launched by Marina Charpentier, mother of both.
Chano’s mother spoke of “lightness in giving an opinion” after a tweet from Iván Noble
“That levity to give an opinion about another’s pain, whether he should or shouldn’t do such a thing, whether another can or cannot. Nothing is so easy in each other’s shoes,” said the woman on Saturday.
In the last few hours, after Chano’s new hospitalization became known, several people on social media have left their opinion on the musician’s state of health. One of them was Ivan Noblewho was emphatic in speaking about the situation.
“Take care of it once. Cut it with the show must go on“, said the singer of Los Caballeros de la Quema.
Chano had already been admitted to Otamendi in May last year and after he had been transferred to the Avril Clinic to continue his treatment. The artist had shown a slight improvement in his state of mind and indeed had resumed his career artistic after suffering a psychotic break in July 2021.
Recently he had been active professionally, with a series of recitals at Luna Park and a special concert in La Plata for the 140th anniversary of the capital Buenos Aires. He has even been shown publicly: in January he was seen very happy and accompanied on the beaches of Punta del Este with Malena Rivarolaa young model who would be his new girlfriend.
On Thursday, the artist had caused concern among his followers using his official Twitter account to repost some messages he posted last November claiming he had received threats.
9 days ago a person who works with me told me ‘Chano, take care, they love you they hurt you. They are doing something against you and the goal is to harm you. These people are very dark.’ I’ve never experienced such a thing…Maybe it’s nothing, but I’ll tell you in case something happens to me,” Chano wrote.
For his next few months he took over Engagements at the Lollapalooza festival and Atenas de La Plata stadiumwhere his presence is scheduled for 10 and 11 March.
