Politics, ego and hypocrisy

By the way, not so long ago, regarding the promotion of the film official racefilm directed by the Creole duo Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat (in which Banderas is part of the leading trio together with Penélope Cruz and our own Oscar Martínez) reflected on it…

“I think the world of egos exists in any profession, even in journalism and politics I won’t even tell you; You just have to see the moment we’re living in,” which he called spectacular, the actor said, referring to the allegations within Spain’s Conservative People’s Party.

And he continued: “In politics there are many more egos than in our world; What happens is that the actors have a permanent magnifying glass on all the activities they do on and off camera. All that nonsense that you see in the film happens because of the insecurity that being an actor produces and because we are so exposed.Banderas stressed.

During the interview with the agency, the protagonist of The mask of Zorrosaid actors create behavior rituals to attract good luck, while Oscar Martínez nods next to him.

I have been in the profession for fifty years and the fear of being exposed is permanent -added Martínez-: it is true that in the theater it is worse because on stage every night it is a leap into the void and the crazy thing is that we all know that it is impossible to repeat what happened the night before”. That’s why we relish the opportunity to laugh at ourselves, “which is very healthy,” she added.
