Santiago Chano Moreno Charpentier remains in sanatorium otamendi with a reserved prognosis, due to drug intoxication and, according to reports in the last few hours, is “with poor oxygenation and cannot be woken up”. Now his mother, Marina Charpentier, has spoken about it.
“He has an individual intensive care room. We are with him. He is accompanied all the time. We shake his hand, we transmit things that we do not know if he listens. It is a difficult moment from which he will emerge, because it is not the first time, we know: he is a fighter, a resilient person, he has the will to live, I have no doubts that he will continue,” he assured wool without filterthe Miter radio cycle.
And he added: “I would like to say something else. For all the commentators who say ‘why don’t they hospitalize him for a year, two years, because he plays, why doesn’t he play’. My son is 41 years old, has no wife, no children , is a loner at heart, and his pain, his underlying anguish, his existential angst, his joy and his sadness are expressed through music”.
In this sense, Chano’s mother assured that “if a person like him” is admitted, it would be for the worse. “You stop him from working and he’s not interested in living,” she said,
“His art saves him. He needs to work, he loves to work, that’s what’s good for him. And on the other hand, even if I want to decide his life, there’s a mental health law I’m fighting for If he changes, he won’t let me do what I want with his life: hospitalize him, take him out, put him in, change him. You can’t,” she added.
Finally, Marina explained that even if she decided to hospitalize him “if he has the will to leave, he will”. “Every time he was hospitalized, he was there because he decided to be there,” she said.
