Mar Tarrés’ full dismissal for Romina Uhrig’s fat-phobic statements

well that Big Brother make visible something simple like what happens every day in thousands of homes, like giving an opinion on other people’s bodies. I’m proud as a tireless #stopfatphobia campaigner that I am, that people are angry and repudiating these kinds of comments.

Years ago it wouldn’t have bothered them, they would have even said “he’s right”. Anything they tell you about your body in the household and even more from your mother will be what will make you an insecure person with low self-esteem for life.

And I doubt that a person insecure with their body can form healthy relationships with food, people, work environment, etc.

They are traumas that remain forever and then wonder why they don’t progress, why they stagnate and everything falls back on the parental relationship, body and security. They are adults who carry their inner child throughout their lives, wounded because they are always disqualified.

This fight is not in vain. Come on beautiful, the world is making a big change! And I feel part and promoter of what is happening on TV today.

Pitting so many shitty people against me and battling with so many fatphobic speakers and reporters on TV today is paying off.

Thanks universe. This means that my struggle, my tears, my fights have not been in vain. Today that makes me very happy, clearly not her comment but the way people rose up against her. That’s how I want them.
