At Lollapalooza it’s not just about headlining, those artists who lead the bill and are usually the closing of each day. No, the festival being held at the San Isidro Racecourse Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March It is conceived as a total experience, which includes other types of activities (from gastronomy to science or recycling workshops). And where, of course, children enjoy their own exclusive space.
We’re talking about Kidzapalooza, a space designed for children, which has its own align. This year the big news is that Topa, the singer-songwriter who has been able to shine in several Disney productions, joins the list of artists who will play on this stage, one of the most emblematic and captivating of Lolla.
With Topa as the lead artist, bands like The ravioliSmall Fishes, Nilocos, Mecache Rock, Bacon and friesCehache breathes, go pumpkinValor Vereda, The Fantabulósicos, Without Cords, Armando Lío’s Band, Kabradepata, One Hundred Flying, Arjaus Crew and Talent Choir.
The other activities for children
But Kidzapalooza isn’t limited to what happens on stage. There’s plenty more to do for the little ones accompanying their parents to the festival.
There is a packed agenda of playful activities and educational experiences that will not only spark children’s imaginations, but also will share core values for Lollapalooza such as caring for the environment, inclusion and cultural diversity. That means:
School of rock: rock, play and learn to play guitar, bass or drums in Kidzapalooza rock school.
look at the station: so boys and girls can look and shine like a rock star.
dance area: pure rhythm, fun and challenges, everyone will learn the chores and challenges of the moment with the teachers.
rap school: space to flow between rhymes, improvisations and raps, playing with words and expressing ideas.
Skating area: to take the first steps on the skateboard and slide down the kidzapalooza ramp.
circus school: through the game, kids will be able to juggle juggling, tightrope walkers, hula hoops, flying ribbons and experience the magic of the circus.
Robotics laboratory: where children will learn to program and move the robots they will build by themselves.
Ecology: space where they will learn to compost and recycle while playing.
Additionally, to enhance the experience, the Kidzapalooza store will offer merchandise featuring exclusive designs for children; in addition there will be changing tables for babies, a chill zone for resting and, to offer greater comfort, the space will have its own gastronomic offer.
How to get accredited
Registration for children under 10 can be done in advance on the Lollapalooza website.
Once you have collected the bracelets from the authorized points of sale, you must enter www.lollapaloozaar.com/kidzapalooza and click on the “Accreditation of minors” button, where you will be able to enter the code of the bracelet you have purchased (located on the front of the bracelet where the chip is located). In this way you will be able to register as an adult responsible for the minors who will participate in the festival. Next, you’ll need to enter the children’s names.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will automatically receive a confirmation email.
The bracelets of registered minors will be collected on the day of the festival at the Kidzapalooza ticket offices located at Av. Márquez 700. To be able to collect them, you must have: DNI of the responsible adult, Registered bracelet of the adult responsible and DNI of the registered children.
As for the headliners of the festival, Rosalía, Drake and Trueno will perform on Friday the 17th; Saturday 18 will be Blink-182; and on Sunday Billie Eilish and María Becerra will take the stage.
