Mando and Grogu, Baby Yoda, had to wait. The last episode of the second season of The Mandalorian had seen in December 2020. And there were many expectations around the best spin-off series of Star Wars that Lucasfilm made.
The wait ended today, with the airing of the first episode of Season 3, or Chapter 17, as you prefer to call it.

The summary of The Mandalorian with which this season opens (the foundling) indicates a challenge -another- for Din Djarin (Mando, for friends, played by the Chilean nationalized American Peter Pascalthat of The Last of Us). He is no longer a Mandalorian after taking off his helmet. How to redeem yourself, get redemption?
The presentation is already auspicious. A young man is about to put on his Mandalorian helmet for the first time, but fails to fulfill his oath “I will never take off my helmet…”, when a strange creature emerges from the sea and attacks everyone. Who comes to save them? I send and Grogu, in their spaceship.

With the aim of returning to Mandalore, Mando heads to Port Nevarro, where he meets Greef Karga (Carl Weathers, Apollo Creed in the saga of rocky), becomes the magistrate of Karga. “I need a commissioner,” he says to the newcomer. And comes the explanation of why Commissioner Dune (Gina Carano, fired for some comments she made on her social media), who captured Moff Gideon, and was recruited by the Special Forces, does not continue in the series.
He needs IG-11 (the droid that was destroyed, killed, remember?): he needs a trusted droid to help him explore Mandalore. But…
relationship strengthened
The father-son relationship strengthens. Mando and Grogu have already experienced all kinds of adventures and overcome threats, from monsters and other specimens, and survived. Grogu continues to express himself by lowering his orecchiette, and Mando is frugal, but empathetic.
In the 37 minutes that the episode lasts there are blaster duels, chases, tiny characters, hyperspace travel, and there is also the music of Ludwig Göransson.
There are 8 chapters, the same amount as the other previous seasons, and it will be released, one a week, every Wednesday, so the end of this third season (it has already been announced that there will be a fourth) will be Wednesday April 19th.
There is still a lot to discover and enjoy, until then.
