The influencer Martin Ciriopopularly known by the nickname La Faraona, with the complicity of his followers, faked his death to promote his exit as a singersomething that earned him becoming a trend on social networks and receiving strong criticism.
Last week Cirio shared a video with his proposal addressed directly to his YouTube followers. “For the launch of my career as a singer and my first single, we will all meet again this Thursday 9 March, in the woods of Palermo, more precisely at the Planetarium”, began the influencer.
And then he explained his controversial idea: “And we will impose the hashtag ‘martincirio is dead’. They will put it on Twitter and any social network. With some condolences, such as ‘Martín Cirio is dead, I can’t believe it, my beloved idol died throughout Argentina. Be creative, put what you want. But the most important thing is the hashtag ‘mortomartincirio'”.
To find the truth, Cirio deleted his postwhich has led to some confusion among his followers.
And many of them started sharing the hashtag on Twitter this Monday, a few days before the date proposed by the influencer.
For this reason, “#muriomartincirio” has become a Twitter trend in Argentina. However, it quickly became known that it was all a lie.
And the influencer began to receive strong questions and even messages that spoke of his presumed death in a mocking tone.
Very upset that his idea didn’t turn out as he expected, it was dumped on his Instagram account, where he has more than 880,000 followers. “What are they doing? It’s not today. Oh God. An instruction I give them and they do it wrong. It’s not now. Watch the video carefully,” he said, annoyed by his followers.
“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. They’re like razor monkeys. Boy, an intrusion, an intrusion…”Cirio added.
The messages that populated social networks
