The influencer, on his Instagram account, where he accumulates more than 3.5 million followers, has offered his opinion on the different programs that are decided by public vote.
“I can’t believe you still don’t believe me when I tell you that all reality shows in Argentina are fixed. All! Chew it as you can, but that’s how it is” Maratea said.
“How come you still don’t believe me? Yeah, they’re all good. I know it hurts man you think when I found out I went to hell. Do you think I didn’t question singing reality shows, which I messaged for one or the other to win. It’s disappointing, but that’s the truth dad, ”continued the influencer speaking to followers about him.
And then he condemned: “When you think about it, it doesn’t make sense for a producer to leave a business that they have invested millions of dollars in the hands of the people. They’ve had a years contract with that winner out there, they did a reality show to create him as a character, they had him win to make money after that. A large part of the income that the reality show will have comes from the use of the image of the people who were on that reality show. Do you think they’ll leave it in people’s hands?”
“Don’t spend money on reality shows. Your votes don’t really matter, what you think on Twitter is the same”Maratea added.
And then he explained how, according to him, the fraud works in reality shows: “What they are doing is ‘hey, we like this profile, let’s make him want more’. And they are making that profile want more. But Out there in the process had already been deleted. But they see this thing that people love the most a certain participant is working, then they change the votes, They keep this person still in the program because the strategy that little by little people love him more is paying off. And that’s how they make me win. Or the other way around so that he loses. But the vote of the people does not count”.
Subsequently, Maratea told an example of the final of a reality show in the country. “There were two profiles. People loved one profile over the other, but it wasn’t convenient for the producer to win the one, because it was much worse to exploit than the other. So even though in the final in the popular vote he won for beaten, the producers changed the result and made the other win. This other person, today, after so many years, continues to work. The producer aspect was very good: “Let’s go with this one that’s easier to exploit in an industry where we’re going to exploit it.”
“If you want to spend your money on a reality show, do it, I’m just saying that your vote doesn’t count”, reiterated the influencer, who then highlighted: “The only reality show that would be honest and that people’s votes really matter it would be the reality show that arms me I have a great idea for a reality show.”
How Santiago Maratea’s reality show is scheduled
As he explained, the reality show he has in mind would be called “Who Wants to Have a Million Friends?”
And he explained about the format: “Ten participants in a field, ten containers in a circle and in the center a common space for all the participants. But then each participant sleeps in a container. And you are isolated like in Big Brother. the difference is that here you are hyperconnected, you have a phone, a computer, you can stream, you have everything… and the challenge for the participants is to find people in real life, on the street, doing things for, for example, a week you have to convince ten people to go to the Plaza de Mayo dressed as the Pink Panther”.
