Friday night, in the city of La Plata, Chano is back on stage and he did it in a big way: with a sold out stadium, first more than 4000 fans who have not stopped singing their hits and giving him an ovation.

Era an exciting and epic night. Excited just to know that a week ago he was hospitalized after an emergency that led him to be intubated in intensive care. Epic because of the heat that was still around 40 degrees inside the stadium, even though the night had cooled off in the street. And the result was a party with the best hits of Tan Biónica and his solo career.

Happy and at the same time exhausted from fatigue, Chano he did not shy away from referring to the difficult moment he has overcome: “You know when something happens to me, I take the lead and tell the truth and do what needs to be done,” he started saying, towards the middle of the show.

“I was intubated – he described – with a tube that they put down your throat to be able to breathe, and at a certain point, instinctively, many people who wake up because they are in a coma, tear it out. and he hurt my vocal cords. To be able to sing today I had to give myself two injections of Dúo Decadrón”.

And I add: “The first thing I did when I woke up was ask for a phone, call my manager and tell him that the only thing that will do me any good right now is not to cancel the La Plata shows.”

series of hits

The recital began at 9:00 pm, first with an appearance by the bassist of a gradually joining band, until Chano joined, wearing a headband, denim jacket and shorts.

Singing Bye my lovea theme -like so many nowadays- in which the verses seem to acquire a new meaning: “So many necessary, the reckless disasters of summer nights, starry days. I dance in this moody bondi that is my city, if something throws you, I get up “.

The sound was rock, with two guitarists and an overflowing energy that reinvigorated their undoubtedly pop hits, with infectious choruses and phrasing that marked a generation.

followed with Your magical hours, farewell to the suna prostitute of Crazy with Victims, Love and RomeAND my January nights, a good combination of songs from different eras. The fervor of the people was absolute, with ovations and chants from the field: “Olé, ole, olá, Cha-no, Cha-no!”.

Concerned about the heat, Chano asked for water for people and commented, “I don’t know what to do to help them.” But until the party nothing stopped her.

After a 15 minute break, the second part of the concert came, where alone with his guitar he made songs like Clearly. He added Renzo on keyboards and followed up this acoustic stretch with The things that happenanother favourite.

A final with the guests

The last stage has begun a duet with Malena Villawith whom he did Obsessive in A major. He then transitioned into the cumbia electropop sound of The night AND Wickhit the carnival of Carnival introand closed well at the top with She (next to Fran, from Crossing the puddle) AND Magic City.

The only encore was the melody of Godand greeted with a sincere “I love you, La Plata, thank you!”.

For this Saturday, Chano also plans to meet the second appointment at the Athens stadiumperhaps an excessive but understandable effort: perhaps he’s doing better on stage than below. Next week his show will be announced as part of the Lollapalooza Argentina festivaland then he will continue to record his next songs.

Chano has made headlines for many non-musical things. Hopefully he can continue to devote himself without detours to what he likes most and does so well, which makes many people very happy and helps him to move forward.
