The Rock of Morphi returned to the Telefe screen (Sundays at 11) and of course there was a moment when the hosts, Jey Mammón and Jésica Cirio, recalled Gerard Rozinformer presenter and creator of the program that mixes music and cooking.

“We hadn’t built a friendship. We talked quite often but I felt like I made a friend last year. I feel that he stayed here, in the house of music”Jey considered.

Claudio Belocopitt, Zaira Nara, Roberto Moldavsky, Ricardo Alongi, Ricardo Centurión, Romina Manguel, Reynaldo Sietecase and Rubén Fernández were some of those who gave their testimony in honor of Rozín, who died on March 11, 2022, at the age of 51 years old, after battling a serious illness.

And a very special moment was the one starring Ricardo Montaner, who was able to maintain a great friendship with Rozín.

In dialogue via video call, the exjurato of The Argentinian voice (Telefe) told how his relationship with Rozín was born.

“I met Gerardo when he had (the show) ‘The Animal Question’ on a promotional trip. They sent me a video (of Rozín) and the scandalous stockings she was wearing caught my attention. Every time Marlene and I traveled, we bought her those socks. We bought the last ones in Los Angeles, I don’t know if they have been released,” the singer said.

“I’ve always liked good interviews. When I find a reporter who gets you in trouble, who digs into you, I love it,” continued Montaner, who was shocked by that first face-to-face with which he would later be his friend.

“From that day I went to my first interview with him, I arrived in Miami and I said to Marlene: “They gave me the best interview of my life.” I became interested in Gerardo, after every trip I met him to chat”he assured.

About the bond he and his wife had with Rozín, he explained: “Marlene was a great confidant of Gerardo and I, her friend. We became this couple that he turned to whenever, apart from the doubts that assailed him all day, he needed some advice about his feelings, he also came to talk to us.”

Subsequently, Montaner said that he chose to have Rozín interview him for his Montaner Tango project, even when the conductor was already in poor health. “I chose it on purpose. I knew it wasn’t going well even though I was absolutely sure it was going to come out of there”Evaluna Montaner’s father explained.

“I have been generating this album for several years, we designed it together with Gerardo. Our ‘partner’ Diego Núñez appeared to make this production. I made this documentary inviting Gerardo to be my interviewer. I knew he needed a dose of enthusiasm.”He explained his decision.

And he recalled: “Gerardo bought a blue suit especially for this interview. He previewed the suit with barbaric enthusiasm. When I arrived at the studios, it had arrived 5 minutes ago. It had fallen on the sidewalk. When I arrived, he recounted me: ‘Can you believe I bought this brand new dress for your interview and when I got out of the car I fell?’ I told him: ‘Be calm… If it’s dirty, you can’t see it.’ And he’s like, ‘No, I don’t care if I fall or not. What worries me is the money I spent.”he said, humorously recalling his friend.

“I intended to reverse the interview and make it an interview from me to him,” said Montaner, who then presented a snippet of that unedited interview, where the musician defines Rozín “as the best interviewer I’ve had in my career”.

At the end of this note, Rozín, with barely a voice, assures in closing: “I’m a boy with no faith, except when you talk to me.”

“You don’t know how many times I’ve seen that ending, the full interview”then recognized Montaner, very excited.
