At the debut of Master Chef Argentina (Telefe) a participant confronted Damián Betular, told him that he had the opportunity to go to his gastronomic establishment, Betular pastry shop, but what his visit was not entirely satisfactory.
Aquiles González, 19, from Córdoba, an international relations student, appeared at the audition stage of the culinary reality show and prepared a hummus that the pastry chef came to try.
“I think you’ll love the hummus”Aquiles told Betular, confident in his preparation.
“I am convinced because honestly I always make this dish and I think it comes out quite rich,” he added and assured about his goal in the program, which now has Wanda Nara at the helm: “My goal is basically to win, but also to learn and grow.”
“I’ve been to your bakery, the macaroons were delicious”added the participant, while the jury tasted the preparation.
“Did they treat you well?”, wanted to know Betular, which is always in all the details of its restaurant, located in the Devoto district.
And then, confidently, Achilles said to him: “Yes, it’s too hot, it’s been a terrible day”. “The air broke,” Betular quickly replied, causing laughter from his teammates, Germán Martitegui and Donato De Santis.
Then, when it was his turn to try the dish, Martitegui asked Aquiles: “Did you criticize Betular for the heat?” “No, just a comment. I mean for the employees, not for me,” the attendee clarified.
“Ah, are you hurting the employees?” Martitegui scolded him. “I suppose so. But then it was fixed,” Achilles tossed.
However, Betular, who was listening to the dialogue, welcomed Achilles’ criticisms in the best way: “It’s constructive.”
He was also super accommodating upon returning: “Achilles, for me when everything is so well done you don’t have to say anything.”
As, Cordovan earned passage to the next round, in which 24 people will remain. Only 16 of them will enter the kitchens of Master Chef.
