They say crises can be a show of resilience in marriages. In the case of Nacho (Leonardo Sbaraglia) and Lucy (Juliet Diaz), the passage of time raises doubts, especially related to the continuity of sexual desire and physical attraction. They feel that they are living in a situation that unbalances the marital relationship, as long-standing resentments flourish daily and they begin to hide things so as not to increase their irritability even more.

After 24 years of marriage and with a teenage daughter, Camila (Sofía Zaga Masri), boredom and the routine of living together have affected the union. Over the years the passion has crumbled, but has not given way to the usual deep love and company that characterizes those who are preparing to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.

Both are successful and competitive professionals. He is an audiovisual producer and keeps awake to carry out an ambitious project with Natalia Oreiro (Oreiro herself, splendid, in a special participation), with whom he maintains constant contact. Meanwhile, she, as a gastronomic entrepreneur, runs a restaurant called Delirio and, unbeknownst to her husband, takes Italian lessons online.

Faced with a new wedding anniversary, they decide to embark on a boat trip and try to rebuild the bond, without realizing that when there are difficulties in understanding between the cohabitants, problems accompany their suitcases. On a romantic vacation, on a luxury boat, they invite their friend Ramiro (Marco Antonio Caponi), who arrives in the company of his girlfriend Cleo (zoe hochbaum).

This impetuous and fiery pair, far from helping them recover their lost fire, will be the catalyst for disaster.

We cannot anticipate much more so that the surprise of the story written by Alex Kahanoff, Andrea Marra, Sebastián Rotstein and Silvina Ganger remains. We will only say that once on the high seas, the idyllic landscapes will be obliterated by an incoming storm and this is a metaphor for what will happen to the protagonists. Alone and adrift, will they resist the fate that awaits them?

The film, excellently directed by Luciano Podcaminsky, has an unusual manufacturing for the average of current national cinematographic films. To the point that it looks like a European production, with careful photography by Nicolás Trovato, excellent performances and a brisk pace in Patricio Pena’s edition.

It is also very remarkable that the characters belong to a social class with a high purchasing power since, in general, native cinema does not usually assiduously reflect this almost inaccessible world. In any case, it is possible to blame him for some weakness in the development of the plot, deriving from a script that becomes somewhat predictable and does not finish investigating the crisis that Nacho and Lucía are going through.

Sbaraglia, Díaz and Marco Antonio Caponi, in the best moment of their careers, are committed and precise in their roles. They provide flesh and professionalism to generate empathy with the viewer. Alongside such a tandem, the freshness of the rising Zoe Hochbaum is a real revelation, that she even dares to sing, very well, I likethe immortal bolero by Armando Manzanero.
