Pompeo is moving
Pompeo has been on the show since its debut, but on the Feb. 23 episode, her character, Meredith Gray, moved from Seattle to Boston. He will continue to provide voice overs at the beginning and end of each episode and will also appear in the finale. Pompeo’s status for season 20 is still up in the air.
Even so late in its execution, Grey’s Anatomy remains popular for ABC, ranking as the network’s number one show in the adult 18-49 demographic. According to ABC, he currently has an average of 10.7 million viewers per bet on Live+35 across all platforms.
Along with Pompeo, the cast of season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy also includes Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Kelly McCreary, Kim Raver, Jake Borelli, Chris Carmack, Anthony Hill, Alexis Floyd, Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane, Midori Francis, Niko Terho and Scott Speedman.
Kate Walsh also reprized her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery, with series alumni Jesse Williams and Greg Germann guest starring.
Marinis entered Grey’s Anatomy since season 3, working as a writer’s production assistant. She worked her way up from there, becoming an executive producer in season 15. He has written over 25 episodes of the series to date.
