José Luis “Pepe” Gozaloformer representative of the cuartetero singer “El Potro” Rodrigo Buenohe died this weekend in Spain, where he had lived for a long time.
The news was confirmed on social media by his daughter Analía Gozalo, who greeted her father with a heartfelt message: “Dad: who will now give me those bear hugs that cured my panic attacks?”
“I honor your life dad. I hope you rest in peace. I know you will continue to be with me until we meet again. I write this with a lot of pain and tears, it may not be the way, but I don’t” I have the strength to tell people about your game. Fly high daddy, Pepe,” she captioned from his Instagram account.
In his last media appearance, in July last year, Gozalo recalled that fatal accident which ended on June 24, 2000 with the life of the Cordovan singer and that of Fernando Olmedo, son of Alberto Olmedo. “If I had put on my seat belt, nothing would have happened,” he said a year ago of his friend and client, on the anniversary of his death.
“That was exactly the night we started with one show a day. By the time I got to the crash site, passers-by had stolen the money he had with him,” said Gozalo, also a former manager of the late Walter Olmos, in an interview with Radio10.
And she added: “Rodrigo had a charisma and an angel that nobody had. His career took off with the release of ‘It was the best of love’. I cry often because I miss and need him. But he is always by my side, he’s in my heart,” he explained about his relationship with the musician.
