Netizens have called for Pratt to leave the franchise after attending an LGBTQphobic church
The director James Gunn came out in defense of Chris Pratt on social networks, after some netizens asked that the interpreter of Peter Quill in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise was re-scaled. According to them, the current MCU star would be attending Hillsong Church, an institution with openly anti-LGBTQIA+ positions. But the assumption was denied by Gunn.
“Marvel, listen to me. Just replace it”, wrote a fan on Twitter. In the post is a photo of Pratt and Patrick Wilson (“Aquaman 2”), as a candidate for the role of Star-Lord. In response, Gunn wrote: “Why? Because of your made-up and totally false beliefs about him? For something someone else said about him that isn’t true? Chris Pratt would never be replaced as Star-Lord, but if he was, we would all go with him.”. Check out:

In another post on the social network, another user recalled the call from Pratt to the LGBTQphobic church. And, once again defending the actor, James Gunn revealed to know the organization attended by him. “He is not [membro da Hillsong]. I know the church he currently attends. You know? (The answer is no, but you’ve heard from someone who’s heard from someone who’s heard from someone what church he attends, so you decided, ‘yeah, okay, I’m going to believe this awful thing I heard online about this celebrity!’)”, declared. Look:
It isn’t. I know the church he currently goes to. Do you? (The answer is you don’t, but you heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone where he goes to church, so decided, “yeah, okay, I’ll believe this terrible thing I heard online about this celebrity! ”)
