With the arrival at Netflix of the long-awaited biopic of Fito Páez, Love after loveas the strongest title for the Argentine audience, April is loaded with fiction designed for streaming.

Line (Thursday 6, Netflix)

series of 10 half-hour episodes it is a proposal to think about modern urban life and frustration. Created by Lee Sung Jin, the production is from studio A24, which has just won the Oscars with films such as All everywhere at the same time AND The whale.

nice little things (Friday 7, Star+)

Based on the best-selling collection of essays by Cheryl Strayed, the series centers on Clare (Kathryn Hahn), who finds herself in a crisis with her husband, Danny (Quentin Plair). Her teenage daughter Rae (Tanzyn Crawford) ignores her and her promising career as a writer collapses.

As if there was a dialogue or some sort of continuity with his series Mrs Fletcher2019, Hahn once again functions as a mature woman in a stage of self-discovery and reflection.

Vaseline – the origin of pink women (Friday the 7th, Paramount+)

Set four years before the 1978 classic Fat – the matethis romantic comedy and musical created by Annabel Oakes follows the story of four girls who are a bit misfit and tired of traditional school life high school, who get together to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral uproar among their peers and teachers.

Tricia Fukuhara, Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Wells and Ari Notartomaso embody the protagonists who have become the founders of the “Ladies in Pink”the first gang of his school and the same gang years later, in that universe, would adopt Olivia Newton-John’s remembered and innocent Sandy in the original film.

Shanel Bailey, Madison Thompson, Jonathan Nieves, and Jason Schmidt, among others, round out the strip’s cast.

Dead players (Friday 21, Prime Video)

A modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1998 thrillerwith Jeremy Irons, this series has Rachel Weisz in the dual lead role of Elliot and Beverly Mantletwins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes to challenge outdated practices and make a name for themselves in feminism.

Created by Alice Birch, the proposal sees Weisz (who is also an executive producer) in the challenge of playing two identical sisters.

the popular actress elizabeth olsen stars in this “true crime” about the real-life case of Candace “Candy” Montgomery, a woman accused of the bloody murder of her friend and wife of her lover, Betty Gore, which occurred in June 1980 in Wylie, Texas.

Created by acclaimed screenwriter David E. Kelley, the production also stars Jesse Plemons, Patrick Fugit, Lily Rabe and Krysten Ritter is the second recent adaptation of this shocking story, which was already brought to the small screen last year by Jessica Biel in “Candy”.

gluttonous (Thursday 27, season 2 on Netflix)

After being captured by a group of hunters in this post-apocalyptic world that threatens the survival of adults and causes the birth of half-human half-animal hybrid babies, little Gus must find a way to save his friends as he discovers the truth behind the onset of the pandemic that brought civilization down.

Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, Neil Sandilands and James Brolin – as narrator of the plot – return in this new installment of the series adapted from the comic of the same name published between 2009 and 2013 by Jeff Lemire, and with Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey, as executive producers.

Citadel (Friday 28, Prime Video)

Action and drama come together in this series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas: they are two elite agents whose identities were wiped off the map as they tried to escape eight years ago from the fall of the titular independent spy organization. Now, the duo must return to the ring when a powerful and shadowy syndicate seeks to establish a new world order.

The famous Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville – together with Osy Ikhile, Ashleigh Cummings and Roland Moller – also make up the cast of the series, which has the American David Weil, screenwriter and director of the series. Hunters AND Aloneas showrunner.
