“Bullet Train” Casts Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, and Joey King
“Bullet Train”, a film starring Brad Pitt (“AdAstra”), Sandra Bullock (“Lost City”) and Joey King (“A Barraca do Beijo”) had its first minutes shown at CinemaCon, in the United States.
According to Deadline’s description, the movie is already off to a brisk pace. At the beginning of the feature, “we see Brad Pitt known as Ladybug receiving a call from a mysterious female voice giving him an errand as he wanders through the alleys of Tokyo. He goes to a subway locker to get his things, however, he leaves a gun behind. He then boards a bullet train, which an enigmatic gentleman also boards – and chaos ensues.“.
In the story inspired by the book “Maria Beetle”, by Kotaro Isaka, “Five assassins meet on a moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka, with only a few stops along the way. They discover that their missions are unrelated, but the question is, who will make it out of the train alive and well? what awaits them at the final station?”says the synopsis.
The director David Leitch (“John Wick” and “Deadpool 2”) told Empire that he was inspired by the Hong Kong action film master, Jackie Chanto choreograph the film’s fights.
“There’s a bit of physical comedy to these fights, and they’re all meant to say something about the characters. We’re here to have fun, especially as our plot takes place in a very restrained setting.“, commented Leitch.
The filmmaker also said that his new feature, starring Brad Pittand less “pure, non-stop action“, and one more “deliriously entertaining comic action thriller“.
Beside Bullock and pitt, Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”), Andrew Koji (“Warrior”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Eternal”), Michael Shannon (“The Man of Steel”), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“King’s Man: Inception”), Hiroyuki Sanada (“Mortal Kombat”), Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief”), Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2”), Masi ok (“Heroes”) and the singer bad bunny complete the list.
“Bullet Train” was supposed to hit theaters in April, but due to some changes, the film officially opens on the big screen on July 14th.
