Nintendo project will have Anya Taylor-Joy in the voice cast
The new animation of the “Mario Bros.” universe, which will have Chris Pratt (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Man in the North”) as voice actors, has been officially delayed. According to Variety, the film, which was scheduled to hit theaters in 2022, has been moved to April 7 and 28, 2023 in the United States and Japan, respectively.
The change was announced on Nintendo’s official social media: “After consulting Chris-san [produtor Chris Meledandri]my partner at Illumination in the movie Super Mario Bros., we have decided to move the global release to Spring 2023. My deepest apologies, but I promise it will be worth the wait.”declared Shigeru Miyamotoone of the leading names in the industry.

In addition to having a duo in the roles of mario and Princess Peachthe cast will have Charlie Day how Luigi; Seth Rogen how Donkey Kong; Jack Black how bowser; and Keegan-Michael Key how Toad. The actors Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco and Charles Martinet complete the list.
Despite the announcement, information regarding the plot of the story was not released. However, the film is produced by Illumination, the studio responsible for “Despicable Me” and “Minions”.
