Hundreds of costumed fans flocked to Star Wars celebration in London, where big saga announcements were announced

Last Friday, Star Wars celebration had its opening day in London with an ongoing series of announcements on some of the year’s most anticipated productions, from Disney+ original series such as Star Wars: Ahsoka AND Star Wars: Skeleton Crew up to the next feature films like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

All weekend, surprises kept fans in a frenzy as a parade of actors and production house personalities Lucasfilm took the stage to reveal exciting new insights into iconic productions.

“Star Wars: Andor”

The activities in Excel Convention Center From Londonstarted on Friday with a welcome from the presenter Ali Plumb Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy reflects on the success of the critically acclaimed Disney+ original series Star Wars: Andor.

Subsequently, the director, creator and showrunner of the series, Tony Gilroyand the stars Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Andy Serkis, Muhannad Bahair and Joplin Sibtain, who was accompanied by the droid B2EMO.

Fans were able to access exclusive images from the second and final season, which is currently in production.and chronicles the next stages of Andor’s journey in its struggle to form a fledgling Resistance.

“Star Wars: Acolyte”

Next, Leslye Headland, creator and manager of Star Wars: Acolyteentered escorted by kelnaccaa Wookiee Jedi from the series, and featured an overview of the new mystery thriller.

Acolyte will take the audience into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging powers of the Dark Side during the waning days of the High Republic era.

A former Padawan is reunited with her jedi master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they face are more sinister than they ever could have imagined.

Together with Headland and Kennedy, the protagonists of the series took the stage: Amanda Stenberg, Lee Jung-jaeManny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman and veteran of Star Wars Joonas Suotamowho plays Kelnacca.

Headland wowed audiences with a sneak peek of the series, which also stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Margarita Levieva, and which is currently under production.

Acolyte will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2024.

“Star Wars: The Mandalorian”

The focus then shifted to Star Wars: The Mandalorian when Kennedy invited series executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to the stage. Both producers, along with executive producer Rick Famuyiwa, spoke about the third season of the hit series which now airs exclusively on Disney+.

After a special greeting video from its protagonist Peter Pascal, fans were able to catch a snippet of next week’s episode. Later, stars Giancarlo Esposito, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers and Emily Swallow announced a special screening of the upcoming episode for attendees, which was held that same evening.

In the third season of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin (Pascal), a lone bounty hunter, met Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to remove the galaxy from its dark history. The Mandalorian will meet old allies and make new enemies as he continues his journey alongside Grogu.

Skeleton crew

Judah Law star of the upcoming Disney+ original series skeleton Crewofficially introduced his young co-stars, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter and Robert Timothy Smith.

The series is also starring Ryan Kiera Armstrongwho was unable to attend the congress. The team shared information about the series, its characters, and a preview of the series currently in production..

Skeleton crew follows the journey of four children who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, only to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.

Moving on to the next and highly anticipated series of Star Wars of this year, it was confirmed Ahsokahero Rosario Dawsonwhich will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka regard former Jedi Ahsoka Tano investigating an emerging threat to the vulnerable galaxy.

“Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny”

Finally, the stars and filmmakers of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny they put a new trailer, poster and new scenes of the film. The event was attended by cast members Phoebe Waller Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen.

Dr. Jones himself, the incomparable Harrison Ford, which appeared in a greeting video. The film, which will be Harrison Ford’s last adventure as Indiana Jones, will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18th and will hit theaters throughout Latin America later June 29, 2023.
