Country singer Julie Daraîche has passed away

He started singing when he was working at a bar in Carleton-sur-Mer, where he met the Duguay brothers, with whom he recorded his first album, released in 1967. A collaboration that would last ten years.

In 1979, he won Félix for western album of the year, along with his brother Paul, at the first ADISQ gala.

His career, with about twenty studio albums, spanned more than five decades. A success that was highlighted in 2017, with the release of the album Julie Daraiche – 50 years of love.
